2016 DC Scores Cup

DC Scores Cup
June 25 2016

Capital for Children fielded a team in the 14th Annual DC Scores Cup Tournament on June 25th, 2016 at the Maryland SoccerPlex.

The DC SCORES Cup is the largest annual charity soccer tournament in the Washington, DC, area and one of DC SCORES' largest fundraisers. The World Cup-style, round robin co-ed tournament, created in 2003, pits local law firms and corporations against each other in a fun, competitive environment. The one-day tournament is held each June at the beautiful Maryland SoccerPlex in Gaithersburg, MD, and has grown each year — to a record 32 teams in 2014 and 2015. The tournament is split into two 16-team divisions, competitive and casual. Almost 90 percent of all monies raised directly benefits the DC SCORES program for 1,800 low-income youth.

Capital for Children was not able to defend its Casual Tournament title from 2015, but performed well and was proud to support its investment partner, DC Scores on this beautiful morning at Maryland SoccerPlex!
